Your Main Purpose

Day 1

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

And I (Allah) created not the Jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). Suratul Zariyaat [Q51:56]

Analogy

Worship as stated in the verse above, as the sole purpose for man’s creation by Allah, refers to absolute servitude. This is displayed in a servant’s (worshipper) responding to the Laws (Quran and Sunnah) of their Lord and Creator in every small and big matter in their life affairs, whether in knowledge (belief ) or actions (sayings and doings).

This absolute servitude is what comprises the Pillars of Islam. It is seen in the prostration of the person praying and in the hunger and thirst of the one fasting. It is manifested in the supplication    of    a    distressed    person    when    he/she  turns     to     his/her     Lord,     the     Answerer     and     Giver     of all forms.

Also, it is demonstrated when the pilgrim performing Hajj throws pebbles in one of the stations of Hajj and when a wealthy person acknowledges the Mercy of Allah by paying what is due them from their wealth as Zakaat.

Also, this is displayed in social matters such as women covering their body and in consummation of marriage between a Muslim  and a Muslimah. It is worshiping for someone  who removes an obstacle from a road or a wife who obeys (remains “submissive” to) her husband or a husband who remains responsible to his wife and children and it is also displayed in the obedience of a child to his parents. It ispart of worshiping Allah, to show compassion and affection to an orphan, giving water to a
thirsty animal and the list continues provided the action is done to please Allah and in accordance with the Sunnah.

All the above started acts are worship but indeed many people are ignorant about this. Hence, the Muslim must always ensure that everything they do conform to the Islamic doctrine and must eschew evil as much as they can, because  mankind was created for no purpose than to serve Allah. Please share with family andfriends. Keep smiling, assallamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi ta alaa wa barakaatu.

Reflection

Do I take delight in worshiping Allah? How often do I do things to please Allah? Does my way of life depict Islam?
Do I worship Allaah in accordance with the Sunnah? write your confession and declaration in a journal.

Prayer

O Allah! Put in me the enthusiasm to do things that you are pleased with and help me worship
You sincerely in all the days of my life. Let me not do anything to incur your wrath. Aameen!!!
